The 2019-entry Professor Teck-Seng Low Scholarship of £5,000 will be awarded to a new applicant to Southampton who is currently studying (or who has previously studied) at a Singapore polytechnic.
Scholarship applications must be submitted by the end of July 2019 (using the link below) and eligible applicants must have selected an Electronics and Computer Science (ECS) programme as their firm choice. The successful applicant will be selected by a panel of Senior Admissions Tutors based on a combination of Diploma GPA and the applicant’s response to the registration question: In 500 words or less, please tell us why you are passionate about studying in the department of Electronics and Computer Science at Southampton. The panel’s decision is final and the scholarship will be awarded in Semester 1 of the first year of the applicant’s programme.

Professor Teck-Seng Low graduated with First Class Honours in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Southampton in 1978, and subsequently received his PhD from the University in 1982. He was also conferred with an Honorary Doctor of Science by the University of Southampton in 2009, in recognition for his contributions to Singapore and his profession internationally. He is currently the CEO of the National Research Foundation, Singapore.
